We’re having a great season.

Marvin’s Room, directed by Carolyn Samuel, has just finished its very successful run. Carolyn is a relatively new director. She chose a fantastic script and cast the show with both veteran actors and three newcomers to the guild. She also had a healthy number of rookies backstage.

Congratulations and welcome to everyone involved.

Waiting For Godot, directed by Paul Tessier, is the QUONTA show this season, with a run in February before its QUONTA presentation. The cast is in rehearsals now.

Thanks to Arndt Holtzendorff who designed sets for both Marvin’s Room and Godot.

GTG’s Spring show is Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, directed by Joce Bell. Auditions are soon. Keep an eye on the website.

We’re holding the QUONTA Festival this season (March/10). Carolyn Samuel and Kelly Boegel are co-chairing. It’ll mean a week of great theatre and lots of volunteer opportunities for GTG members.

Our Open Theatre Nights are building beautifully. We’re doing them at the Whitewater Gallery on the last Thursday of each month (except for December). Please join us for these evenings either as a spectator or a player. We’ll do improve, theatre games, monologues, etc. Stay tuned to the website for details each month. Many thanks to Whitewater for the partnership.

Fundraising has taken on new meaning for the guild over the last two seasons. If you haven’t been a part of all this yet, we’ve held a series of GTG’s Got Talent nights at both Cecil’s and Katie’s Leaderboard. $5 at the door pays for an evening of great entertainment by theatre folk: singing, dancing, monologues, etc. The evenings are a blast. We’ll have a few more through the season. Please check the website and join us.
