announcing the cast for “rope” by patrick hamilton
directed by joshua bainbridge
GTG is thrilled to announce the cast of our next production, Rope:
Sam Laforge – Brandon
Bryce Millard – Phillip
Nancy Thompson – Mrs. Wilson
Mariah Boehk – Janet
ย Dean Belanger – Mr. Kentley
Patsy McVicars – Mrs. Atwater
James Devuono – Kenneth
Rob McCubbin – Rupert Cadell
The show runs February 18-22, 2026 at รcole Secondaire Publique Odyssรฉe. For the mere sake of adventure, danger, and the โfun of the thing,โ Wyndham Brandon persuades his weak-minded friend to assist him in the murder of a fellow undergraduate. They place the body in a wooden chest, and to add spice to their handiwork, invite a few acquaintances, including the dead youthโs father, to a party, the chest with its gruesome contents serving as a supper table. The horror and tension are worked up gradually; thunder grows outside, the guests leave, and we see the reactions of the two murderers, watched closely by the suspecting lame poet Rupert Cadell.
Rehearsals are underway and you won’t want to miss this suspenseful masterpiece performed by this amazing cast!

new and local
GTG is looking for submissions for our New and Local Performance Works Cultivator! Established in 2022, this initiative looks to support local creation of new works for performance. This new focus will involve (a) workshops designed to assist and inspire the local creation of new works; (b) readings or โshowingsโ of new works-in-progress by local writers/creators, and potentially (c) full productions of some of the new works. The aim of GTG is to hold regular monthly meetings to review submissions and determine which projects GTG has the resources to support.
โNew works for performanceโ can include both the writing of โdramatic playsโ as well as the creation of what might loosely be called โperformance works.โ While โdramatic playsโ are generally written texts authored by single writers, โperformance worksโ might be created (with spoken text being used to varying degrees, if at all) by either a single author/auteur or by a group working together to devise a new work in many possible formats. The artistic coherence of all new โdramatic playsโ and โperformance worksโ will be promoted through workshops, readings/showings, and โ in some cases โ production.
This program is open to anyone from our community and we are particularly interested in submissions from youth who have a creative idea they need some extra guidance on.
