That’s a wrap on our 2025/2026 season!
Our 2025/2026 season wrapped up with our production of Trying by Joanna McClelland-Glass. We received some amazing audience feedback for this production. What a way to end another successful year!
Starting with The Great Gatsby in the fall and moving to Rope in winter and wrapping up with Trying in the spring, this season explored many complex relationships, notions of love and loyalty, death and rebirth. The Guild is so proud of these productions and our commitment to bringing our community strong, engaging theatrical productions that provide audiences with an opportunity to laugh, cry, gasp, and hopefully, engage in meaningful conversation.
We are so grateful to all the volunteers who make these productions possible – countless hours go into each production. Each hour represent someone’s drive to create live theatre and learn and grow both as theatre artists and as people. The Guild prides itself on being a space where anyone with a passion for theatre can develop their craft whether for the 1st time or 100th time. We had new faces involved with shows this season along with many familiar ones both on and off the stage. That is what the Guild is all about.
Between our three shows, we saw 1590 audience members walk through our theatre doors! That is amazing!! THANK YOU for showing up and being a part of our vibrant arts community!

GTg receives North Bay and Area Community Fund grant
Gateway Theatre Guild received a grant of $10,500 from the North Bay and Area Community Fund. Applications went in late last year and funds were distributed in May! We are so grateful to NBACF for supporting the Guild’s purchase of lights and efforts to update and improve our space at Rock Street. Having our own lights will reduce production costs and facilitate lighting and technical workshops as well as enhance this key element of our productions. It will allow us to create more innovative lighting designs further elevating the audience experience. We plan to spruce up Rock Street so we have an even better place to rehearse, offer smaller scale workshops, and host our New and Local gatherings. A shout out to our president, Stephanie Kast, for spearheading this grant application!

Our AGM is set for Thursday, August 27th at 7 p.m. Mark your calendars and be sure to attend so you can be the first to hear about our exciting 2026/2027 season line-up! Keep your eyes peeled for updates on location.
If you are a current member, your membership expires at the AGM. Come in person to renew! We have plans for some exciting workshops over the next several months and being a member gives you first access at a reduced cost! Your membership also gives you voting rights at the AGM – have a say in the future of the Guild! Not a member yet but curious? Attend the AGM, get a recap of all the amazing things we did and get a glimpse into what we have in store. Why become a member? Well, you get first shot at workshops, are the first to know about exciting initiatives, and you help us to keep the Guild running. Your $50 membership represents an investment in the future of community theatre in North Bay.
