2026 agm and upcoming season

Our 2025/2026 season AGM was held August 27th and it was a great turn out. Those in attendance got to hear our 2026/2027 season line up first hand!! We are a little late making our public announcement, but we had to confirm the show dates first!

Kicking off the season, is Almost, Maine by John Cariani directed by Rob Ferron.

How do you carry around a heart that has been broken into 19 pieces? Does getting closer actually mean moving farther apart? What does it mean to โ€œfallโ€ in love? One cold winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, strangers become friends, friends become lovers, and lovers turn into strangers as the citizens of the mythical town of Almost, Maine experience the life-altering and surreal power of the human heart.
โ€œSweet, poignant, and witty. Nearly perfect. ALMOST, MAINEโ€™s charm is real. (It) packs wit, earns its laughs and, like love, surprises you.โ€ -New York Daily New.
Show dates are Oct 21-24 at 7pm & Oct 25 at 2pm at ร‰cole Publique Odyssรฉe. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for seniors/students. Wed Oct 21 is Pay-What-You-Can. Get your tickets now at https://www.zeffy.com/…/gtg-presents-almost-maine-by….

Our winter show is a campy whodunnit – Beware the House on Haunted Hill adapted by Matthew Byrd & Kathryn Funkhouser from the 1959 film House on Haunted Hill, written by Robb White, directed by William Castle, starring Vincent Price. Directed by Erin Creed, you are invited to come to the partyโ€ฆstay if you dare. An eccentric millionaire promises six guests a mysterious prize if they can survive the night at the only truly haunted house in the world. Everyone invited has a few skeletons in their closets though, and screwball scares lurk around every corner. The show runs February 17th to 21st, 2027 at ร‰cole Publique Odyssรฉe with auditions taking place mid-November. Keep your eye out for details.

To wrap up the season, we are excited to announce yet another co-production with Trinity Arts! Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar adapted and directed by Rod Carley is taking this tale of power and betrayal and setting it against the backdrop of the FLQ crisis in Quebec. Rob’s Shakespeare adaptions are well known for bringing these timeless plays into more modern, Canadian contexts allowing audiences to further engage with these powerful scripts. The show runs May 26th to 30th, 2027 at Trinity United Church with auditions happening late November.

This is a season you don’t want to miss (even thought we say that every year – really you don’t want to miss any of our shows)!!

Ramona Lynn stepped down from the GTG board as she moved on to pursue her costume dreams!! We wish her the best in all her future endeavours and are extremely grateful to her for the countless hours she put in to help cull and curate our costume collection and to keep our space at Rock St neat and tidy, not to mention lending her considerable talents to a number of productions including all three from the 2025/2026 season! Your new board was voted in at the AGM. Returning as president is Stephanie Kast, joined by Erin Creed as VP Operations, Mariah Boehk as VP Artistic, Emmanuelle Faucher as Secretary, and Shelagh Graham as Treasurer. Remaining on board as members at large are Anna Hamilton, Tania Webb, Kayla Valender and Johanna McPherson. Joining them are Laura Boudreau and Tristan Watts. We are excited to bring you an engaging season as well as workshops, our annual gala fundraiser, some fun social nights, and our New and Local new works cultivator.
